Dreamer by Lindsay Cooper © 2001
Some say I'm a dreamer,
I suppose they're right,
My world is of dragons,
And trolls that always pick a fight.
Of maids who roam the land with a sword in their hands,
Just in case they meet a dragon,
And a troll who always picks a fight.
A talking otter, and a slippery snake,
A young girl who brought evil to it's doom,
And even a witch that was burned at stake.
I've flown with eagles,
And laughed with the breeze,
I've painted feelings, bold and strong.
Who cares about a tease?
My eyes see all that's good,
And my heart beats true;
These are my imagination's food.
Give me one chance to show I am smart-
Just because I am young doesn't mean I'm not good,
And I will treasure all you say in my heart.
Some say I'm a dreamer,
I suppose they're right,
My world consists of dragons,
And trolls who always pick a fight.
Of knights in shining armor,
Who finds a princess in her glamour,
And together they meet a dragon,
And defeat a troll who picked a fight.
A crippled lamb, and a bat who can't take flight,
A young boy who betrayed all those he loved,
And even a crow, black as night.
