ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Linda Suzane's passions include murder, mystery, blood and
vampires. Her first book, The Murder Game is a romantic
mystery about a novelist who also creates mystery games and is
set in a mansion on the flanks of Mt. Tamaplais in California.
Linda has long been interested in murder mystery games and enjoys
writing her own. She has murdered a cheating agent, sat in church
on a Sunday morning and plotted how to kill her husband-minister,
hosted a meeting of a group of International Killers, and for her
daughter's sixteenth birthday allowed her to kill whomever she
pleased. She even wrote an article for Writer's Digest Magazine,
"Writing for Fun: Creating a Mystery Game."
Eyes of Truth combines all her passions in a fantasy
mystery with a touch of the vampire. Eyes of Truth has
just been published by Twilight Times.
She currently is working on a vampire series, The Darkhour
Vampires. She offered the first book in the series, Bloody
Captivity, as a free e-serial novel from www.midnightblood.com
and plans to serialize the rest of the series.
As a result of her interest in Vampire fiction, she hosts www.e-Vampires.net -- Where
to find the best bloodsucking fiction on the web and reviews
books and profiles authors at Vampire eBook Authors at
Suite101.com.

ABOUT HER BOOKS:
THE MURDER GAME: When Gwen Wilson returns to Hillside Cottage
on Mt. Tampalasis in California to create a murder mystery game
for Lawrence Van Hise's 70th birthday, she finds herself trying
to solve a 20 year old crime when Lawrence Van Hise accuses her
mother, who was once the Van Hise housekeeper, of stealing a jade
statue. As Gwen searches for the truth, long buried secrets
emerge, secrets around her mother's suicide and her relationship
with Lawrence Van Hise. Is Lawrence's son Hunter's offer to help
real or is he merely trying to protect his father? Is he really
attracted to Gwen or merely using her as his father used her
mother? Then the night of the party, Lawrence Van Hise is found
dead, and it appears someone is trying to frame Gwen for murder.

THE EYES OF TRUTH: If you could always tell when someone
was lying, you would think it would be simple to find a murderer,
but it isnt that easy as Insu-ha Dar learns when he is sent
to Dak-moon to identify a killer. The Eyes of Truth is a
fantasy mystery novel, set in an oriental kingdom of Naj. A
violent, mountainous land, prone to earthquakes, Naj is ruled by
the descendants of the god Insu, each with the ability to tell
when someone is lying. It is a world where the spirits of the
newly deceased return to roam the streets during the festival of
Ram-sho, where soothsayers conjure up elementals, and where one
man has received a gift of power and long life that threatens to
eventually kill hundreds and destroy Naj.

When did you first start writing?
I have been writing for as long as I have been married,
33 years. I started writing because it gave me a legitimate
excuse for doing what I always loved doing, spending hours
fantasizing and day dreaming.
Why do you write?
I write because nothing else in my life has given me the
satisfaction that creating my own worlds has done. I write
because I am literally addicted to writing. For years I dreamed
of earning a living writing full time. Now, because of health
reasons and lack of local employment opportunities, I have been
literally forced into making that dream come true and the
Internet and e-publishing has made it possible. At least the full
time part, I haven't quite gotten to the earning a living part
yet, but it is coming.
What sort of books do you like to read?
I read mostly mysteries, partially because I like
mysteries and partially because mysteries are usually relatively
short books and I have a bad habit of not being able to stop once
I start reading. I also like Science Fiction and Fantasy. But my
absolute favorite is anything about vampires.
Who is your favourite author or has influenced your
writing?
I tend to think of authors and books that changed my life,
Frank Herbert's Dune, Robert Henlein's Stranger in a
Strange Land, Anne McCaffrey's Pern series. Right now, my
favorite author is Laurell K. Hamilton and her Anita Blake
series. They are probably my favorite vampire books. I much
prefer her vampires to Anne Rice's, and they certainly have
influenced my own concept of vampires.
If you could meet any character from a book, who would it
be and why?
Wade Kain. This is a character in my own series of vampire
novels. He literally stepped out of a short story and demanded
that I tell the story of how he was first bitten and lit in me a
passion that still burns. I had heard of writers talk about
characters taking over, but I had never experienced it quite so
intensely as I have with Wade.
What are you currently working on?
My series of vampire novels. The first one Bloody
Captivity tells the story of how Wade Kain was first bitten
by a vampire. I am also putting the finishing touches on a murder
mystery game, Play Murder #1: Killers International. I am
about to start a newsletter, e-Vampires.net News, which will
include book reviews and lots of information about Vampire
fiction found on the Web.
What have you found to be the best way of promoting your
book?
Since I have just started learning to promote my books, I
can't quite say what is the best way. Right now I am focusing on
the Internet and using whatever opportunities I come across, such
as Twisted Tales.
And finally, what advice would you give to writers
starting out?
Every writer has an obsession, a passion that seems to sneak
into everything you write. Figure out what yours is and then
deliberately write about it. You will find the stories that work
the best for you, are the stories that deal with your obsession.
For me almost all my stories end up about duality, dealing with
the dark, secret side of ourselves. In The Murder Game,
Gwen had never asked the questions about her mother's death and
when she learns that her mother committed suicide, it opens such
anger for the man responsible, the only way she can deal with it
is to plan to commit murder. In my vampire series, Wade must come
to terms with the fact that he was bitten by a vampire, a past he
can't even remember. Then there is Prane, a mother of two typical
teenagers, who is also a vampire.
